Man threatens to kill wife with a PELLET GUN!!!
A Bartlesville man is in custody after he allegedly attacked his wife. 32-year old Derrick Joseph Maynard is charged with domestic abuse assault and battery. Bartlesville police investigated a report of a domestic disturbance at a home in the 1300 block of South Elm. According to a court affidavit, the woman told officers that Maynard was drinking whiskey, started yelling at her, and threw items at her. Maynard reportedly got a pellet rifle, pumped the gun one time, and pointed the gun at her, threatening to kill her. The affidavit shows that Maynard punched his wife in the head. The police found the pellet gun on the living room floor. Officers noticed that Maynard was drunk and was unable to keep his balance. Court records indicate that Maynard was convicted in Washington County for domestic abuse assault and battery and is on probation. Maynard’s next court date is January 3rd. Bond was set at $25,000.
